How do I register as a member?
Click on the "Register Now" button on the main menu bar.  You will be asked some questions to establish your account along with your current email address.  As a security measure, we will then send an email to the address that you give during the registration.  Please open that email and click on the attached link.

Do I have to complete all the registration at once?
No,you only need to complete the first page in order to become a member. However we do want you to complete the rest of the questionnaire,so you will be reminded about at future logins.


Why are you asking so many questions?
There is a lot of misinformation and a  paucity of real data about the transgendered community, and that is not helpful for our being understood by society at large.  We are endeavoring to correct this problem by collecting this data and making it available to reputable researchers.  Please be assured that we completely respect your privacy, and will not associate your name or identity with the information .


How much of my information can other members see?
Other users can see your nickname (if you give one) or your login name, along with your general location, roots, gender, orientation and age.


How do I change my information?
Click on the "My account" button on the upper left of the page, then click on  the "Edit Profile" option.  This will take you to your account registration pages where you can change the desired information.


What if I have other questions?
Send your question to support@tglady.com and we will endeavor to answer it as quickly as possible.


How do I report abusive behavior?
Send the details of the incident to abuse@tglady.com.  Please include as much information as possible, including the time when it happened.


How do I see who is currently online?
Click on "My Profile" on the main menu bar, then click on "Users Online".


How do I see the directory of all users?
Click on "My Profile" on the main menu bar, then move your mouse over the"Users Online" button, this will cause a new button to appear labeled"All Users", click on that.


How do I search for people that I know?
Enter the person's name in the "People" box on the main menu bar, then click on the "Search" button.


How do I look for other interesting people?
Click on the "Advanced Search" button on the main menu bar.  This will take you to the search characteristics page.  Select the regions and options that are of interest to you, then click on the "Search"button.


How do I link someone as a friend?
Locate and display the user's open profile page either via the search or by selecting them from the directory.  Clicking on the "Add to Friend" will send a friend request to that person, who will then have the option of accepting or declining the request.


How do I send an email to another member?
You can send a message to your friends by clicking the "Message" button on your profile page, then selecting the "Create Message" option.Alternatively you can display the open profile page of the person you want to communicate with, then click on the "Message" button.


How do I use the instant messaging to communicate with another member?
Locate and display the user's open profile page either via the search or by selecting them from the directory.  Clicking on the "VideoChat/IM" button will establish the connection if the other person is currently active.


What do I do if I encounter an error?
Please send us an email at support@tlady.com and include as much of the following information as you can.  Please realize that the more you can tell us about how you received the problem, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the problem.
  • What operating system are you using?  (e.g. Windows XP, MacOS, etc.)
  • What version of the operating system? (e.g. MacOS 10.4, Windows XP SP2)
  • Which browser are you using? (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox)
  • Which version of the browser are you using?  (e.g. Firefox 3.6)
  • Exactly what were you doing when you got the error?  Please include information about how you had gotten there (e.g. I had logged in, clicked on "my profile", then clicked on "all users")
  • What tglady account were you logged in with?
  • Exactly what message did you receive?  (It is best to cut & paste the error message into the email)
  • Did you try the same thing more than once?  If you did, did the error happen every time?
  • Anything else which you think might help us locate the problem.
