Welcome to TGLady, the social networking site for you. In addition to providing news and commentary of interest to the trans community at large, this page will also be the place to go to find out what is happening on TGLady what will be happening, and what we hope to have happen! So be sure to check it regularly, and if you have ideas of subjects that you want us to address, please send them to news@tglady.com.

During the first month of operation, TGLady has steadily increased in size, and is becoming much more active. We have many plans under way to be sure that this continues and accelerates and want this site to become your first stop on the Web. While we are constantly working on improving and enhancing TGLady, and making sure that everyone knows about it, one of the most important ways that it will grow is for YOU to be here, use the site, and tell others about it So please pass the word, the more, the merrier!

~ What's new:

We have added a number of new forums topics. If there are others that you would like added, please let us know by writing to support@tglady.com

Member Announcements - A place where you can make announcements of general interest to the membership. This can include posting offers provided that they are of a non-commercial nature (e.g. Room for rent). All postings must conform to the site guidelines, and may not have any sexual content or allusion.
How-To - Where we will post descriptions of how various site features maybe used.
Suggestion Box - A forum where you can post and discuss suggested new features for the site.

~ Things to do:

There are many fun and interesting things in this site, and we are sure that you will find them, but here are a few suggestions...

Always make "My Profile" your first destination. This will alert you to new messages or friend requests from other members.
Use the"Advanced search" facility to find interesting people who you would like to get to know, and when you find someone, send them a friend request.
Do you have a number of friend who are already members? If so, go to the "Groups" page (from the home page), and create a new group.
Start your own blog.
Check out the forums and add your thoughts to the various topics

~ What's coming:

We have many plans for new TGLady features, and will be rolling them out over the coming months, so watch this space for the details.

You have probably noticed the Boutique button on the top menu bar. We will be activating this soon, and it will take you to our new store 'www.tgladystore.com' where we will be offering some exciting and high quality items. Check back here to for more details.
We are in the process of translating the text pages into various languages, which you can select from the upper right of the screen. We anticipate these being operational soon.
We are also working on integrating a dynamic multi-lingual language translator so that you can translate any text. Watch this page for more information on this feature.

~ Suggestions:

As with all websites, there are quirks to it's usage, and this one is no exception, so in order to avoid you getting frustrated with it, here are a few words of advice.

When someone sends you an instant message (IM) request, your browser will popup a window telling you about it. If you have popups disabled, you might not see it!
If you go into the chat room and nobody is there, don't hurry away, stay around a while and post a message that you are present, then give other folks a chance to get in and see you. Also if someone is there but not responding, give them some time to return. Remember that there is a 20 minute timeout in chat, i.e. if you don't say anything for that long, the system will automatically terminate the chat session.
The"All Users" display will show all members who are currently logged in,and who have done something within the previous 15 minutes. If you login and do nothing, you will eventually disappear from the list. There is one thing to note here ... because they are separate applications running in separate windows, if you are in actively chatting with someone, but doing nothing else on the system, you will also disappear from the active users list.

~ If you have problems:

There are a lot of browsers out there, some very popular, others that we rarely hear of, and unfortunately they don't all do things the same way, so it is not almost impossible to develop a site which works correctly with them all. In designing the site we have tested it with Internet Explorer (6, 7 & 8), Firefox, Safari and Chrome. All of these are tested on Windows XP and Vista, and MacOS. We have also tested it with Linux using Firefox, however there are one or two areas where it does not render quite correctly. So if you encounter a problem anywhere, do let us know about it, and be sure to tell us exactly where it happened,and what operating system and browser you are using.
