Welcome to TrannyGirl.Us ("TrannyGirl"), the social network for transgenders and others to meet online, operated by parent company NightOwl Press. We recognize the particular sensitivity of the transgender community, and consider the privacy of our members and potential member to be of extreme importance. By using the TrannyGirl.Us Website ("Website"), you have voluntarily chosen to give us personally identifiable information ("PII") about yourself when registering; therefore, we want you to know how we collect the data, what we do with it and how we protect it. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to the Website and its associated domains (collectively known as "Services") and will give you the opportunity to make informed decisions about the information that you share with TrannyGirl. As in TrannyGirl's Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), TrannyGirl will periodically revise and update the Website's Policy as the Web, Laws, Services, TrannyGirl's PII collection and use practices or technology change, and such modifications shall be effective upon posting by TrannyGirl on the Website. Your continued use of the Services after TrannyGirl posts a revised Policy signifies your acceptance of the revised Policy. It is therefore incumbent upon you to review this Policy regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes. If TrannyGirl materially changes its practices regarding collection or use of your PII, your PII will continue to be governed by the Policy under which it was collected unless you have been provided notice of, and have not objected to, the change. Any questions you may have about this Policy, you may write to us at admin@trannygirl.us. Because email or instant messaging is not a secure form of communication, we recommend that you do not send private information via them. TrannyGirl and TrannyGirl Services ("Services") are hosted in the United States.

Information We Collect. When you visit the Website, you provide us with two types of information: PII you voluntarily choose to disclose upon registration and detailed non-personally identifiable information (NPII) that enables you to identify and communicate with others worldwide with interests similar to your own; this NPII is collectively known as "Profile Information".

When you register on the Website, you provide various NPII that collectively becomes part of your account. In addition, TrannyGirl collects other NPII including IP address, aggregate user data, and browser type. This data is used to manage and improve the Services, track usage, and for security purposes. In most cases, you may choose which information you elect to provide, and whether it is accurate or not. We do not validate such information, and make no representation to others about its validity. However, the success of your interactions within the Website will directly reflect the degree of your honesty, so we recommend that you provide accurate information or none at all.

When you voluntarily provide PII to TrannyGirl, we will make sure you are informed about who is collecting the information, how and why the information is collected and the types of uses TrannyGirl will make of the information to the extent it is being used in a manner that differs from what is allowed pursuant to this Policy. Except as described in this Policy, TrannyGirl will never share your PII with third parties unless you have given TrannyGirl separate and specific permission to do so.

When you enter the Website, we collect your browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all Website visitors. In addition, we store certain information from your browser using "cookies." A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the user closes the browser. By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your account name (but not your password) to make it easier for you to login when you come back to the Website. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser if you want to disable this convenience feature.

You post personal information on the Website at your own risk. Although we allow you to set privacy options that limit access, be advised that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you may choose to share information, therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that the information which you post on the Website will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored it.

Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on the Website is a violation of Terms and should be reported to admin@trannygirl.us, subject line: Violation.

Use of Information Collected by Trannygirl. Never before have we had the opportunity to collect such detailed information on the transgender community worldwide. Collecting empirical data on the community as a whole is one of TrannyGirl's goals. Shrouded in mystery, the transgender community is often the butt of ridicule and fear. Compiling anonymous data on the community may then be used in education and as a needs assessment tool. Specifically, we need to shine a light on the Community and end the preponderance of anti-transgender hate so prevalent in the world today. No User's personal data will ever be used by TrannyGirl other than is stated clearly in this Policy.

Trannygirl may use information in your profile without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as aggregating information on the interests of the members so that we can provide services and advertising which is of value to you. We do NOT include any personally identifiable information amongst these aggregates in any way.

TrannyGirl prohibits these companies from sharing your NPII and/or Profile Information with any third party or from using it for any other purpose. Anonymous click stream, number of page views calculated by pixel tags, and aggregated demographic information may also be shared with TrannyGirl's advertisers and business partners.

Deleting Information: Users may delete their personal information at any time by logging into their account and clicking on Delete My Account, old information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be available to Users and will be purged after a reasonable time.

When you make use of the Website's features such as email and chat to share information with other users, such information cannot be deleted.

Sharing Your Information With Others: Trannygirl is about interacting with others and sharing information with them, yet providing you with ways to limit the dissemination of that information. We do not provide contact information to third party marketers without your permission. We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is 1) reasonably necessary to offer the service, 2) legally required or, 3) permitted by you. Examples are:

We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws or we believe that illegal activities are occurring as defined in Terms. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that we must comply with the law.

Transfer of Ownership. If the ownership of all or substantially all of the Trannygirl business were to change, your user information may be transferred to the new owner so the service can continue operations. In any such transfer of information, your user information would remain bound by any promises made in any pre-existing Policy.

Protection of Systems. If Trannygirl cannot adequately protect its servers and your data, then all other policies become meaningless. To avoid that, our servers are protected with an advanced Intrusion Protection and Antivirus system. The system is updated daily with new signatures for intrusion techniques and viruses. Additionally we use secondary protections on our servers as a secondary system. This will protect our servers from Viruses, Worms, Trojans, Malware, and Hack attempts.

Third Party Software. Services may be linked to Internet sites operated by other companies. Services may also carry advertisements from other companies. TrannyGirl is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or other services operated by third parties that are linked to or integrated with the Services or for the privacy practices of third party Internet advertising companies. Once you leave TrannyGirl via such a link, access a third party application or click on an advertisement, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party or advertiser site to determine, among other things, how they will handle any PII they collect from you.

Third party advertisements displayed on the Services may also contain cookies set by Internet advertising companies or advertisers (known as "third party cookies"). TrannyGirl does not control these third party cookies and Users of the Services should check the privacy policy of the Internet advertising company or advertiser to see whether and how it uses cookies. A pixel tag is a tiny image inserted in a webpage and used to record the number and types of views for that page. TrannyGirl may allow third party pixel tags to be present on TrannyGirl Services for purposes of advertising, providing services or data and statistics collection.

You can program your computer to warn you each time a cookie is being sent, block third party cookies or block all cookies. However, by blocking all cookies you may not have access to certain features on the TrannyGirl Services.

Trannygirl makes use of a variety of third party software tools ("Services") to implement many of the website's features. All of the information that accumulates as a result of your use of these resides solely on the TrannyGirl's servers. For further information on these tools, please contact admin@trannygirl.us.

Links. Trannygirl may contain links to other websites. We are of course not responsible for the privacy practices of other web sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Trannygirl.

Third Party Advertising. Advertisements that appear on Trannygirl are sometimes delivered (or "served") directly to users by third party advertisers. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. These third party advertisers may also download cookies to your computer, or use other technologies such as JavaScript and "web beacons" (also known as "1x1 gifs") to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. Doing this allows the advertising network to recognize your computer each time they send you an advertisement in order to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. In this way, they may compile information about where individuals using your computer or browser saw their advertisements and determine which advertisements are clicked. Trannygirl does not have access to or control of the cookies that may be placed by the third party advertisers. Third party advertisers have no access to your contact information stored on Trannygirl unless you choose to share it with them.

This privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Trannygirl and does not cover the use of cookies or other tracking technologies by any of its advertisers.

Terms of Use, Notices and Changes. Your use of the Website, and disputes arising from it, is subject to this Policy and as defined in Terms all of its dispute resolution provisions including arbitration, limitation on damages and choice of law. Unless we explicitly state otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
